Dark 'n' stormy

Steps

Fill a high‑ball (or Collins) glass with ice cubes to the top

Pour the 2 parts of dark rum over the ice

Add the squeeze of fresh lime juice
(optional) -

Top the mixture with the 3 parts of chilled ginger beer
Pour slowly to preserve the carbonation -

Stir gently
Just enough to combine the layers, allowing a pale “stormy” swirl to form -

Garnish
For example: - a lime wedge or wheel - a sprig of mint
